Now that I can see right through the crap that is the JW religion, I sometimes ask myself - how come you blindly believed all that rubbish for 30 years??!! I am so annoyed with myself for that - I have a degree, yet I was totally duped for such a large part of my life. And now that I can see how so full of holes it all is, I kick myself for not seeing it before. Anyone else feel like that?

Only JW growth indicates God's blessing. Any growth seen in other religious organizations is clear evidence of their being part of Satan's world.
This is so funny because it really is their reasoning. Just like in the 90's God was speeding things up, but now He is engaged in a sifting work...hehe - whatever happens it is God' blessing, and JW's will believe it without question. I know, I was that gullible once. Even if the new service report shows negative or no growth in the major countries, brother and sister excited will still concentrate on Nepal or somewhere, where the growth will be as great as 100% - because the 2 missionaries there will have been joined by two more...hehe
How does that saying go? There are lies, damned lies and there are statistics...:) -

by confused and lost ini am half way through this book by carl o. jonsson and the more i read the more certain i become that the 607bce date for the destruction of jerusalem by babylon is nothing more than a fabrication designed to uphold 1914 and hence the "authority" of the watchtower leadership.it makes me sick to think of how they have duped millions of people with their phoney chronology.it makes sitting through studies that mention these dates irritating to say the least.especially when all the heads nod in unison at the mention of the "magic 607"

An excellent book. As you read it, remember that this information was sent to the GB and Ray Franz confirmed they read it. Their response, to disfellowship the author. Ray also confirmed that during his research for the Aid book, he and his researcher could not find any evidence to back up 607. But the WT still promotes it as historical fact to this day. This is why Ray Franz and I disagree on one main thing - he says not to be too hard on the GB - I say they should get what they deserve for the lies they spread, especially as they had ample opportunity to study all the evidence against 607 and deliberately ignored it.

it is known by them that i am not truly an apostate (from yhwh and jesus).
i have come to a different conclusion than them after three years of intense activity at the hall.

If you are considered apostate in any way by the elders or your family, wave them goodbye. I would not recommend voicing your doubts to the elders or your family if you want to keep them. You can screw around, but apostasy is the devil himself at work in you...LOL

Rosalee is partly right. If you are not living in the same household as the rest of your family, association should be restricted to necessary family business only. The Kingdom Ministry gave examples of individuals who effectively closed off all association with family members and promoted that stance.
However, this position is not followed by many Witnesses in practice. Many elders continue to associate with sons and daughters who live away from home. But they do so carefully, not drawing attention to it. If it becomes an issue with the congregation, privileges would probably be removed. -
